As the state becomes less and less involved in heritage-related processes, people’s awareness and non-governmental initiatives become crucial in protecting not only late modernist and postmodern architecture, but also public spaces, monuments and other elements of the urban landscape; at the same time, these elements can be integrated into future national identity scenarios. In this work, different aspects of these issues are explored through a photographic collage, video installation and an open discussion.
